1 & 2 Overnight Itinerary

DAY 1: Evening departure from various pick-up points.

DAY 2: We cross the Czech Republic border in the early morning, arriving in Prague around breakfast time (not incl.). We'll then get acquainted with "The Golden City" on a walking tour. The Czech capital is wonderfully preserved, having largely avoided damage from bombers in World War II. Prague's many architectural and cultural pleasures stand as a reminder of the robust, but at the same time delicate, precious and stunning nature of this city. Our Grand Tour takes in some of the most colourful parts of this city - among the sights you'll see the fabulous Hradschin Castle, St. Veits Cathedral, apart from the National Museum at the top of Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge. After some free time for lunch enjoy the shopping district featuring excellent prices on Bohemia Crystal and an assortment of Folklore Items like beads, crystal, hand-painted eggs, handicrafts, folk art, puppets, wooden toys and trinkets. Following an early dinner and a romantic cruise on the Moldau River (not incl. €25) we then check in to our First Class Hotel. Later, for those still with energy to spare, your tour guide can provide suggestions for participating in Prague's nightlife!

DAY 3 - 2 Overnight Tour ONLY: The day is free to explore the city on your own - or join us on an optional excursion (€30, minimum participation necessary) beginning with a guided tour of the Strahov Monastery. Highly regarded for its many frescoes, its library houses over 100,000 handwritten books, some dating back to the 13th century. We then visit the baroque church and shrine of Loreto, containing fabulous treasures - the crowning glory, from the Middle Ages, being the monstrance of the Sun of Prague, set with over 6,000 diamonds. A walking tour then takes us through "The Small Side", with its quaint churches, opportunity to visit "Infant Jesus of Prague", the famous statue of infant Jesus located in the Church of Our Lady Victorious in Malà Strana; over the Charles Bridge and then some free time for shopping. In the evening, your tour guide can arrange for a great dinner with folkloric entertainment (not incl, approx. €20).

Last Day - 1 & 2 Overnight Tours: Following breakfast and checkout, we wave farewell to Prague and travel to the famous spa town of Karlsbad (Karlovy Vary). Long favored by Kings, artists and musicians, Karlsbad is a fashionable retreat known throughout the world for finely crafted, colorful glassware and porcelain. Some free time allows you to shop on your own before we begin our return trip to Germany. A dinner stop (not incl) will be made prior to arriving at our points of origin late at night, early morning.

CHILDREN: 3-12 years of age receive a $10 discount on 1 overnight tour or $20 discount on 2 overnight tour. Under 3, require a bus seat and their own safety seat (not provided), pay $129 on 1 overnight tour and $159 on 2 overnight tour. Children 12 & under travel free on Optional Tours, except for entrance fees and boat ride.

DOCUMENTS: Both military & civilian personnel, valid US tourist passport. Please make sure you have a valid US tourist passport that does not expire within 6 months after the tour. Non-US citizens must meet VISA requirements.

CURRENCY: Normally, exchanges to Czech Koruny can be made at your local bank prior to departure, if sufficient notice is given. However, exchanges can also be done in Prague where your tour guide will assist.

CANCELLATION FEES (Per Person): More than 14 days prior to departure, $70; within 14 to 7 days prior, $100; 7 days or less, 50% of tour price will be charged.
