2 Overnight Itinerary

DAY 1, Dec 31: Early morning departure from various pick-up points. Travelling north, we will stop for breakfast (not incl.) prior to crossing the border into the Netherlands. Following we visit the Ratterman Wooden Shoemaker with excellent purchasing opportunities. Upon arrival in Amsterdam, one of Europe's most popular capitals, an orientation tour highlights some of the major sights. We disembark at Dam Square, the very heart of Amsterdam, where you'll have some free time for shopping and lunch. Afterwards we check into our First Class Hotel, relax and freshen up before joining your tour guide for an Indonesian Rijstable Dinner (appox. €26) followed by Amsterdam's New Year's Celebration with Champagne at Dam Square or Leidseplein.

DAY 2, Jan 01, 2009: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! After breakfast we depart for an enjoyable Boat Ride on Amsterdam's Canals, to include the harbour (included) followed by a visit at a Diamond cutting and polishing factory. Continuing our orientation tour of the city, including Dam Square and the Royal Palace, from here many sights are within walking distance, such as the Anne Frank's House (entry fee €7,50). Stop by the Hard Rock Café, free time for lunch and sightseeing. To conclude the day, your tour guide can arrange for a typical Dutch Dinner (appox. €23).

DAY 3, Jan 02: Following breakfast and check out, join us on a memorable optional excursion (€25), we travel along the dikes and visit a Cheese Farm and experience the making and tasting of Dutch cheeses. We then depart for the restored Windmill Village of Zaanse Schans, with a variety of attractions - Wooden Shoe Museum, Working windmill, shops and delicious Dutch Pancakes! We continue on to the romantic fishing village of Volendam, nestled along the banks of the old Zuider Sea. The combination of old fishing boats, quaint Dutch houses and locals in traditional Dutch costumes make an unforgettable experience. We then return back to Amsterdam for some free time and shopping. Grab a snack before we depart for our return trip to Germany, arriving at points of origin late at night/early in the morning (Saturday, Jan 03).

CHILDREN: 3-12 years of age, $379. Under 3 require a bus seat and their own safety seat (not provided), paying $159. Children 12 & under travel free on Optional Tours except for entrance fees.

DOCUMENTS: Both military and civilian personnel, valid US Tourist Passport that does not expire within 6 months after the tour. Non US citizens must meet VISA requirements.

CANCELLATION FEES (Per Person): More than 14 days prior to departure, $90; within 14-7 days prior, $130; 7 days or less, 75% of tour price will be charged.
