4 Overnight Itinerary

Day 1: Afternoon & evening departure from selected pick-up points.

Day 2: After a breakfast stop (not incl.) in Northern Italy, we arrive in Pisa. See the Leaning Tower (entry fee €15) and the magnificent Piazza Del Duomo with the over 900 year old Cathedral. We then continue on to Rome and check in to our 4-Star Hotel in the early evening. Your tour guide will assist with the evening's dinner arrangements.

Day 3: The morning is dedicated to the Rome of the Renaissance on our optional tour to the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica (€47 - price includes entrance fees, local guide, headphones; appropriate dress required). Returning back to our Hotel, relax and freshen up and join in for a Christmas Eve / New Year's Eve dinner (€35, incl. drinks) in a festive atmosphere. For New Year's tour, - we attend the New Year's Celebration in Rome with Champagne.

Day 4: MERRY CHRISTMAS / HAPPY NEW YEAR! After breakfast, we are on to St. Peter's Basilica to attend a Christmas Mass prior to attend Pope Benedict's Christmas/ New Year Blessing at St. Peter's Square. In the early afternoon we embark on our Grand City Tour of Imperial Rome, highlighting sights such as the Forum, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Palatine Hill and the baroque monuments of the Piazza Navona (traditional Christmas Market), Trevi Fountain and more. Freshen up at the hotel before we'll gather for a traditional Christmas / New Year's Dinner (not incl.) in a festive atmosphere.

Day 5: Spend the day exploring the "Eternal City" on your own or join us on an optional excursion to Pompeii & Sorrento (€70 - minimum participation {20} required. Price includes entrance fees.) In Pompeii, we'll visit the excavations of the ancient city destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. After a ride along the coast, we arrive in Sorrento where you'll have an opportunity for lunch (not incl.) followed by a bit of shopping and sightseeing prior to returning back to Rome.

Day 6: After breakfast and check out, we depart for Florence, the "City of Renaissance". We begin our day on a walking tour of this historic city, we'll visit the Santa Croce Church (where Michelangelo is buried), the Cathedral, with its imposing cupola (landmark of the city), the Baptistery, Signoria Square and more. During some free time, take advantage of the excellent shopping opportunities for leather goods, gold items or visit the original "David" (entry not incl.) located in the Academy of Fine Arts. After dinner (€19), we begin our return trip back to Germany.

Day 7: Morning and early afternoon arrival at points of origin.

CHILDREN: 3-12 years of age receive a $60 discount. Under 3, require a bus seat and their own safety seat (not provided), paying $240. Children 12 & under pay half price for optional excursions

DOCUMENTS: Tourist Passport for both military and civilian personnel. Military without a tourist passport should check with their Personnel Office or the Foreign Clearance Guide for information on current travel regulations to Switzerland, Austria and Italy. It is the responsibility of NON US CITIZENS to meet proper VISA requirements for ALL countries

CANCELLATION FEES (Per Person): More than 14 days prior to departure, $100.; within 14-7 days prior, $180.; 7 days or less, 50% of tour price will be charged.
