Day Tour Itinerary

Early morning departure from various pick-up points. Heading south, via Baden-Baden, we'll take the Black Forest High Road, running through a succession of charming little resorts, all of which share picturesque settings - Bühlerhöhe, Unterstmatt, Kniebis, Freudenstadt, Alpirsbach and Schildach.

A brunch stop (not included) will be taken along the way at Seebach. There will be some time to take a walk around the mystic Lake Mummelsee known for it's tales about mermaids and dwarfs.

It's then on to Gutach and its enchanting Black Forest Open Air Museum (entry fee included), a fascinating display of a farming community with artifacts and housing replicas dating back to the 16th Century. From Gutach we make our way to Triberg, stopping enroute at Niederwasser, visiting Adolf Herr's Wood Carving Outlet, whose enormous clock, with 20 working figurines, owns a place in the Guinness Book of Records for being the widest at 11.5 meters. Here you may shop for the world famous Cuckoo Clocks and, of course, you can pick out a smaller one, if you wish.

When we arrive in Triberg, we'll visit the famous waterfalls - considered to be the most beautiful in Germany with water falling 535 feet over seven levels. We make a dinner stop (not incl) in Triberg's oldest restaurant (Gasthaus Lilie) with their special dessert, Black Forest Cherry Cake.

On our return trip, we travel through the picturesque Kinzig Valley and arrive at points of origin late at night.
