1 Overnight Itinerary

DAY 1: Evening departure from various pick-up points.

DAY 2: We arrive early in Holland and following breakfast (not incl), we'll visit the Ratterman Wooden Shoemaker with excellent purchasing opportunities. Upon arrival in the "Venice of the North", you have the chance for a boat ride on Amsterdam's Canals (to include the harbor €9) before visiting the Gassan Diamond Factory. We continue to the heart of Amsterdam (Dam Square) where you'll have free time for shopping and lunch. The rest of the afternoon is free for own activities, why not visiting Anne Frank's House or the Rijks Museum. Before we check in to our First Class hotel your tour guide can arrange for a typical Dutch Dinner (€18).

LAST DAY: Following check-out, the morning is free for your own activities or join us on an optional excursion (€25) to the picturesque fishing village of Volendam. This isolated town has kept its character for over six centuries - the combination of old fishing boats and the characteristic small Dutch houses amidst the canals and drawbridges make for an unforgettable experience. We'll stop at an authentic Cheese Farm as well as the restored windmill village of Zaanse Schans where you'll see working windmills from the inside and various shops and restaurants. Grab a snack before we depart for the return trip to Germany, arriving at points of origin late at night.

2 Overnight Itinerary

DAY 3: We depart early for a full-day optional excursion (€30) offering a variety of highlights. We visit the characteristic fishing village of Volendam with its genial and romantic atmosphere and an authentic Cheese Farm with a demonstration on how Dutch Cheese is made. We continue on to the restored windmill village of Zaanse Schans where you'll see working windmills from the inside and various shops and restaurants. Last but not least (and weather permitting) we'll take a boat ride to 'remarkable' Marken, an island of the past with a very tight-knit community. In the evening, join in on a characteristic fish dinner (€18) at a typical Dutch restaurant before returning to the hotel.

LAST DAY: After breakfast and check-out, we depart for The Hague, the seat of the Dutch Government and residence of the Dutch Queen; and also featuring the Binnenhof (Houses of Parliament) and the Peace Palace (Home of the International Court). Our next stop is the Miniature City of Madurodam (€10 entry fee). Young and old will delight in this scaled down version of major Holland attractions. Via the famous beach resort of Scheveningen, we journey to Delft, the "City of Porcelain" where you may purchase Royal Delft Blue Porcelain at factory prices. After a dinner stop along the way (not incl), we arrive at our points of origin late at night..

CHILDREN: 3-12 years of age receive a $10 discount on 1 overnight tour or $20 discount on 2 overnight tour. Under 3, require a bus seat and their own safety seat (not provided), pay $129 on 1 Overnight Tour and $159 on 2 Overnight Tour. Children 12 & under travel free on optional tours except for entrance fees and boat rides.

DOCUMENTS: Both military and civilian personnel, valid US tourist passport that does not expire within 6 months after the tour. Non US citizens must meet VISA requirements.

CANCELLATION FEES (Per Person): More than 14 days prior to departure, $80; within 14 to 7 days prior, $100; 7 days or less, 50% of tour price will be charged.
